EMBER

The Ember '... Forgetting Something?' campaign project, crafted as part of my academic work at Marquette, was designed around the universal moment of disappointment we've all faced—a sip of coffee turned cold amidst the day's distractions. Ember, as the solution to this pervasive dilemma, was at the heart of the campaign. I aimed to evoke the realization of that forgotten, now tepid, beverage and present Ember as the innovative answer that ensures this common oversight doesn't result in a less than ideal coffee experience.

My creative process was steeped in the art of relatable storytelling through design. I leaned into the familiar feeling of a disrupted routine and how Ember mugs could seamlessly sustain the warmth of your drink, just as you like it, no matter the pause in your day. This project developed my skills in conceptual thinking, allowing me to marry copy and imagery that speaks to everyday experiences while highlighting the product’s features.

In crafting these ads, I honed my technical skills in digital design—learning to balance aesthetics with message clarity. Selecting imagery that resonated with the target audience, employing typography that reinforced the campaign's tone, and designing layouts for various formats were all crucial aspects. My designs spanned across Instagram stories, Facebook banners, and interactive ads on platforms like Reddit, each requiring an understanding of the platform's unique engagement tactics.

The '... Forgetting Something?' campaign not only refined my abilities in graphic design and advertising but also in developing targeted messages that align with a brand's innovative solution. It underscored the importance of empathy in design, connecting Ember's functionality with the emotional benefits of enjoying every moment of a coffee lover’s ritual.
